Yenifer Cabrera, Paralegal

A Bit About Me

I am a native Uruguayan raised in Miami, Florida. I’ve been working in the probate law field since 2015. Prior to that, I worked for the quality assurance department in a clinical research company where I developed meticulous attention to detail. Naturally, I’ve always been inclined to research, gathering information and analizing facts. When I decided to cross over to the law field, I immediately fell in love with the work.  In 2018, earned my paralegal studies certificate with honors from the University of Miami.

Why I Love What I Do

I’ve always had a passion for helping others. Being a paralegal offers me the unique opportunity to do just that. Working in the probate field, I get to help our clients during a very difficult and trying time. It’s very rewarding at the end of a probate case to know we’ve helped our client receive what they were entitled to while making the process as smooth as possible for them.

About Me

I was born and raised on the West coast of Florida.  After many hot summers, I wanted a change of scenery and decided to attend Indiana University.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in History from IUPUI. I have always really enjoyed learning about different perspectives in history, law, and life. My interest in law comes from a mock trial I was a part of in middle school.  I returned to my home state for law school at the University of Miami where I am currently a J.D. Candidate. My career goal is to work in the field of estate planning. I believe that Estate Planning is important and can help provide peace and comfort to someone by letting them know that their family will be taken care of when they are gone.

Why I Love What I Do

The reason that I want to be a lawyer is I want to help people.  I enjoy being a part of the team that helps to solve problems for clients.  Working at The Probate Law Firm has allowed me to gain knowledge that you cannot get in a law school classroom.  At the firm, I have learned about the probate process and enjoy working with the rest of the staff to figure out the best solutions.

A Bit About Me

Having moved from northern California as a young child, I was raised in Atlanta, Georgia and attended Kennesaw State University. While in college, I loved vacationing and visiting friends in Miami. The beautiful beaches and my love of all things Miami led me here in October of 2014. In 2018, I made the decision to go back to school and am currently attending Albizu University online studying psychology.

Why I love what I do

I enjoy providing excellent customer service and assisting people in their time of need. When clients are calling about Probate matters, they have experienced a loss. Being the first voice that the client hears when calling to consult with the attorney about their case, it is important that I show genuine compassion and empathy to their situation and that is something I am very passionate about doing. I also enjoy working with our Team!

A Little Bit About Me

I was born in Honduras and have been living in Florida for 20 years. I am an accountable, dependable, and highly motivated individual positioned to apply expertise in the area of customer service. I would really describe myself as a person with a versatile skill set, a lot of integrity and a willingness to go the extra mile to satisfy the customer. Prior to joining The Probate Law Firm, I had the opportunity of working as a Realtor and Tax Preparer. During that time, I took multiple training courses, earned several certifications and gained extensive knowledge. I am now looking to take my career to the next level as a probate Legal Assistant.

Why I Love What I Do

I decided to become a Legal Assistant because I am passionate about helping people. I love helping and having direct contact with clients. Our probate clients are often faced with a variety of emotional situations and they need someone to hold their hand during this difficult time. The support I provide to our troubled clients is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job. As a Legal Assistant, I am extremely dedicated to my job and to our clients.
